Information[]
Farm Together 2 has been announced.
It was released in early access May 7th at a price of $19.99.
What features from the first game are still missing?
Other than lots of content/items, the game still has a few missing features compared to the first one. We plan on adding them over time during Early Access development, enhancing the way they work compared to the previous game. These are the main features not yet implemented:
- Pets
- Endgame upgrades/buildings
What are some examples of new things which are planned to be added?
Of course, we’re not only planning on adding features from the first game, we want to add new, interesting things to this sequel!
This list isn’t final and may be modified based on suggestions, etc, but some things that we’d love to add to the game at some point:
- Rideable horses
- NPCs visiting your farm
Tools to offer more fine-grained control over what can be done by visitors on specific parts of the farm.- Minigames of some sort
- New types of items with new gameplay mechanics.
- Further town customization.
Don't forget to wishlist the game on steam and join the official Discord server for more information.
Player Level[]
This level is shared between all farms and tied to your account profile for the game. This level will be shown to anyone who can see you, whether you've joined someone else's farm or people have joined yours. It's your global Farm Together 2 level.
As you gain character levels, you will gradually unlock new customization options to alter the appearance of your character, tractor, and eventually (probably) farmhands and pets. In the first game, this also increased your base tractor fuel capacity marginally per level, but as of Farm Together 2 - this is no longer the case, at least for now. The fuel capacity functionality was replaced by the upgradeable Garage in the town.
Harvesting objects, buying certain upgrades and buying objects will result in gaining XP for this.
The XP gained from actions depends on how many XP are yielded from the objects you are harvesting. If it says you got 8 XP, it counts 8 XP toward this level. This amount of XP is also added to your Farm Level.
A note on multiplayer etiquette: If you're a higher level character and joining someone else's farm, try to be considerate of their fuel depots and don't just join, drain their tanks, do a tiny amount of work and leave as that will basically delete their fuel. It's something veterans should be aware of at the very least, as they get into higher level territory.
Below is the chart for required XP to hit certain level milestones. It's semi-approximate as the amount of XP you see listed will bring you to the respective level from Level 1.

Farm Level[]
The Farm Level is used as a gate to be able to unlock almost everything there is to unlock in the game. You have minimum level requirements to unlock the many profitables as well as unlocking town shops and stands and even farm expansions.
Leveling this up is crucial to your progress and should be the main focus of the grind until you have most or everything unlocked.
Harvesting objects, buying certain upgrades and buying objects will result in gaining XP for this.
The XP gained from actions depends on how many XP are yielded from the objects you are harvesting. If it says you got 8 XP, it counts 8 XP toward this level. This amount of XP is also added to your Character Level.
